This Privacy Policy describes how Catholic Daily Scripture ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our application, available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

1. Information the App Uses

The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). We do not require account creation, login, or any personal details to use the App.

The App displays banner advertising through Google AdMob, configured for non-personalized ads. The App does not request the AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) permission or access the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS. Google may still process limited technical data automatically, including:

Device information and identifiers
Approximate location (based on IP address)
Device type, operating system, and language
Ad interaction and diagnostics data

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us directly.

If you choose to share a scripture passage, the App sends that passage text to your device's native share tools only when you initiate that action. No data is transmitted to our servers.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not offer or require user accounts, login, or sign-up.
The App does not store personal devotional journal entries on our servers.
The App does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any identifying information.
The App does not use analytics SDKs beyond what AdMob provides as part of its ad serving.

3. How Information Is Used

Any data collected by AdMob is used by Google to:

Serve advertisements within the App
Measure ad performance and effectiveness
Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties for purposes beyond advertising delivery through AdMob.

4. Third-Party Services

This App integrates Google AdMob to serve non-personalized banner ads. Google may collect and process data under its own policies.

5. Data Security

Any data transmitted by or on behalf of this App — such as ad request data sent to Google AdMob — is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Catholic Daily Scripture itself does not operate servers that store your personal data. We rely on the security practices of third-party providers (Google) for data they collect.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any information processed by third-party services.

Catholic Daily Scripture is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by local law, such as GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. iOS: This App does not request ATT permission because it is configured for non-personalized ads and does not access the IDFA.
